PLESIOSAURUS SKELETON
This sculpture is based on museum pieces of the Plesiosaurus, a marine Dinosaur from the early Jurassic periodwhich many believe the Loch Ness monster to be a descendent of.The body is made from multiple pieces of sheet mild steel of various thicknesses hand bent, filed, sanded andhammered into shape then welded together. Welding along the spine in particular has been left exposed to givea more accurate representation of bone.Finished in brushed steel and partially polished & clear lacquered. As it doesn’thave legs, it is made to be displayedon its stand made from stainless steel supports on a Mahogany base or stand made from slate stone. Larger verions are also suitable for hanging by wire. This design can be reproduced in other metals such as Stainless Steel with wax / lacquered or painted finishes. We have made this in various styles and sizes including 1, 2 and 3 meter versions for indoor and outdoors and forwall mounting.
