UTAHRAPTOR SKELETON
This sculpture is based on museum pieces of the Utahraptor that lived during the early Cretaceous period, they reached upto 6 metres in length and weighed around 1000kg. The Utahraptor is a large Therapod which is similar to the Velociraptor but considerably larger. The sculpture shown in the pictures during construction is approximately 2 metres tall made frrom mild steel sheet and recycled steel tubes of various sizes., in total comprising o over 650 individual pieces of metal. This model has been made for outdoor display and has been finished with a chemically accelerated rust treatmentwhich is then clear varnished to look like many of the exhibits in museums. We made this model to be supported by a single post stand set into a concrete base.Any of the Dinosaur models we’ve made could be scaled up to this size
