LIZARD SKELETON
This sculpture is loosely based on features from a number of lizard skeletons rather than
a single lizard species.
The body is made from multiple pieces of sheet mild steel of various thicknesses hand
bent, filed, sanded and hammered into shape then welded together. Welding along the
spine in particular has been left exposed to give a more accurate representation of bone.
Finished in brushed steel and partailly polished then clear lacquered.
This design is easily reproduced and can be made in other metals such as Stainless
Steel, or wax / lacquered or painted. Can also be made in a variety of poses and sizes
including standing on 2 legs only.
n.b. Copies although close can never be exact due to differences in the metal and weld finish.
