WAR OF THE WORLDS TRIPOD - STEAMPUNK STYLE
This sculpture is based on the classic story War of The Worlds by H.G. Wells originally published in 1898.
We deicided to build this in a more classic Steampunk style more fitting with the original story than the
modern movies.
The sculpture stands at 1.5 meters tall and the legs are moveable to change the stance, the ‘heatray’ arms can
also be adjusted. This is made mainly from Mild Steel with some parts in Aluminium also using some recycled
rams and car joints.
We included mains lighting in the canopy allowing it to be used as a reading lamp or garden feature. There are
also flickering yellow LED lights in the heatray arms and engine bay. Inside the tripod legs and body are colour changing
LED strips which can be changed by remote control.
